Jump up, ready to go. I’m going to try for the Ultra Shake again. Got the rice protein, got the flaxseed, got the frozen fruit, blend it all together, pour it in the cups. My husband takes a drink, looks at me and says, “This tastes like chalk” We add more frozen fruit and off he goes to work with his glass in hand. I feel like every new thing I introduce to him is on trial. It’s a frustrating feeling.
I decided to start tracking my calories and nutritional intake on Sparkpeople.com, not to “diet” but more to make sure I’m getting what I need. I’m finding, after just 3 days that getting enough carbohydrates without having wheat products is going to take some creativity. A person can eat a whole lot of grapes, lettuce, tomatoes, asparagus, potatoes, carrots, strawberries, kiwi fruit, pineapple, and grapefruit and still eat VERY few carbohydrates.
Boy, I could really use a donut right about now!
